If you have ever lost a wallet to the depths of a coat with no real pockets, this Bearn in 2Z Blue Nuit is the answer. Ten and a half centimetres long, seven and a half tall, close to flat when closed — it slides into the narrowest slot a jacket offers and stays exactly where you put it, deep navy against grey wool.
The daily load is deliberately small: two bank cards, a folded note and, on some days, a hotel key. Everything sits single-file, which is what the slim cut expects, and the strap keeper is the only metal on the piece. Blue Nuit is dark enough to pass as black in a restaurant and clearly blue in daylight, so it keeps a bit of personality without ever announcing itself.
Epsom in a dark shade is a practical pairing. The pressed surface shrugs off a wet evening or a coffee accident instead of soaking it in, and the fine embossed grain keeps the navy from looking flat the way polished leathers can. After a season in and out of a coat, the flap still closes with the same firmness as the day it arrived, with no wear visible at the fold.
Capacity is where I will be blunt: if you are used to carrying everything — loyalty cards, receipts, a spare key — this wallet will feel strict. It is built for people who already carry too little. That is the deal, and I took it happily.
