Navy is the colour I recommend to anyone who finds black too stern but still wants a bag that goes everywhere. This Videpoches in Blue Navy has the same flat, phone-first geometry as the rest of the family, dressed in a deep blue that brightens the moment sunlight finds it. It is the one I pack when I do not know what the trip will ask of me.
The bag lies about 21 centimetres across the body, with just enough room for a phone, cards, a key fob and a folded note, no more, on purpose. Shortened strap for the shoulder, lengthened for crossbody over a coat; the canvas takes both without kinking. The strap hardware is matte enough that it never glints in photographs.
Togo’s pebble grain shows best in this tone at close range, where the blue catches the light and the texture reads slightly chalky. Silver-tone snaps, a palladium finish and the perforated H keep the metal to a minimum, and that restraint suits navy perfectly. At close range the pebbling looks almost powdery, which softens the deep blue nicely.
A small caution: paired with a navy suit or coat the bag goes tonal and can almost disappear into the outfit. That is either the best or the worst thing about it, depending on the morning; I file it firmly under the best, and I suspect most navy loyalists will too. It has been in my rotation for a full season without a single scuff worth mentioning.
