I laid six card holders on the kitchen table to choose one for a trip, and this was the one my partner picked up first: 9r Lime paired with U5 Rose Lipstick, a combination that sounds like a mistake until you see it in the hand. The two colours give each other something to argue about, and the argument is fun.
There is nothing small about the statement and nothing large about the object — ten and a half centimetres wide, seven high, two deep, which is to say it takes up less room than the phone that shares my pocket. Four cards and a folded note fill it comfortably; a fifth card and the stack starts to feel self-conscious. I keep it at four. A fifth card would only slow the pull at a busy counter.
The calfskin is the smooth, softly sheened Evecolor, firm enough that the holder holds a crisp line along its edge even after months of pocket duty. Daylight brings out the rose; indoor light favours the lime. The enamel trim carries both tones without either one bleeding into the leather.
My honest warning is about mood as much as maintenance: this is a holiday wallet, not a boardroom one. If you want a piece that whispers, look elsewhere. If you want to smile every time you pay for coffee, this earns its place, and light-coloured leathers like these do want an occasional dry wipe to stay bright.
