Bleu Jean is the shade the house borrowed from a laundered work jacket, and it shows. I wore this R.M.S. through a weekend of markets and trains, denim jacket over denim shirt, and the 75 colour read as the natural third note in the outfit rather than another blue competing with it.
Pocket behaviour is what I judge first. The holder measures roughly a hand’s width and half that again in height, with a two-centimetre body that keeps cards square but never presses a line into a trouser leg. Inside I keep three cards, a coffee stamp sheet and enough notes for a weekend. It is the smallest wallet I own and the only one I have never had to reorganise mid-trip.
Evecolor’s grain is barely there to the eye and entirely there to the fingers — you feel the tooth when you slide a card free, which is exactly the resistance you want from a holder rather than a case. The enamel fittings pick up a mid-blue that stops them from reading as chrome, and they have taken abrasion against keys without complaint.
The trade-off is subtle but real: denim blue on smooth leather can streak where it folds. That faint ridge line along the spine is the first place a crease appears, and mine appeared within two months. I do not mind it, but if you need glassy perfection from a card holder, a pebbled leather will hide time better than this one.
