Crème is the colour of good stationery and cold cream, and on this narrow enamel bracelet it behaves like white without the glare or the formality.
The band is 0.31 inches wide and made for a 6.7-inch wrist, finished in rose-gold plated metal and closed with the Kelly lock motif at the top. The enamel is a soft, warm off-white, the kind that flatters summer skin and reads elegant against black, navy or grey. It is the only bracelet in my collection that I would happily wear with an all-white outfit.
I take mine to warm places: it looks superb with linen, a straw bag and a tan, and it does not fight the sun the way bright white can. At home it earns its place in autumn and winter, where the cream lifts dark wool and makes the whole outfit look softer rather than sharper, which is a useful trick for anyone who mostly wears black.
What to know before choosing this shade: pale enamel is the most demanding of the group. Marks, cream residue and even dusty fingerprints show, and plated metal darkens if you wear it into the sea or the shower. Worn deliberately, wiped often and stored dry, it stays clean and bright.
Made in France, the quietest of the Kelly clics, and the easiest to wear with a crisp white shirt, which is exactly how I wear it most weeks.
