There is a specific shade of pink that manages to be both serious and playful, and Rose Candeur is it. On the Mini Clic Kelly it makes a wrist look well cared for rather than dressed up. I resisted pink jewellery for years; this is the piece that ended the argument.
The band measures 0.31 inches across and is made for a 6.7-inch wrist, glossy enamel over rose-gold plated metal, with the Kelly lock sitting prettily at the clasp. Because the pink is greyed rather than bright, it works with almost every palette: navy, cream, denim, even olive.
Mine goes on at least three mornings a week, usually alongside a watch on the other wrist and a signet ring on the same hand. It has the unusual quality of looking more considered than it is, and in photographs it holds its own next to solid gold, which I did not expect from a narrow plated band. It is also the bracelet I get asked about most, a strange honour for something so small.
Honest trade-off: light enamel plus daily wear equals small maintenance. Hand cream leaves a film, water leaves spots, and plated metal should be kept away from scent and showers. A soft cloth each evening keeps it looking new, and mine has stayed flawless that way.
An easy gift for someone whose style you know well, and, speaking from experience, an easy one to talk yourself into keeping.
