The Kellyfestival charm is the kind of detail people notice second — first the bag, then the miniature Kelly swinging from its handle. Mine is Swift calfskin in Noir with a palladium finish, and it has lived on the same black leather tote for a season now.
Up close the silhouette stays legible: the little flap, the tiny handle, proportions that read as a Kelly even from across a room. The lanyard measures five and a half inches — fourteen centimetres — which sets the charm just under the handle’s arc, clear of the bag’s own hardware.
Swift is the softest calfskin in the lineup, a satin surface with almost no visible grain. It drinks up black dye until the leather looks polished and liquid, which is why the Noir version reads as texture rather than color. On a colored bag it would vanish; on black, it adds quiet geometry.
How I wear it: looped from the handle of a plain tote on weekdays, moved to a weekend duffel on Fridays, and set flat on a shelf whenever the bag itself stays home. It asks nothing and survives the transfer, provided you handle the leather rather than the lanyard when you move it.
One honest word: Swift marks easily. A fingernail dragged across the back leaves a faint trace that mostly lifts with a thumb rub, and rain spots dry without lasting damage, but this is not a charm to treat roughly. Keep it in its little dust pouch when it comes off the bag.
