Celeste is the color of a clear morning — a soft, true sky blue without a hint of grey or baby pastel. On the Mini 18 it does something useful: it makes white outfits look deliberate and grey outfits look bright. I wore it through a week of overcast days and it earned its keep.
The goatskin’s natural grain gives the blue real texture; up close you can see the pebbling, and the matte finish keeps the shade gentle. Gold hardware was the right pairing — the warm metal pulls Celeste toward the cream tones in an outfit rather than competing with them.
What fits: phone, key pouch, card case, lip balm and a folded pair of reading glasses. What does not: a bottle, a hard case, a full-size wallet. The dome climbs to roughly the height of a teacup at fifteen centimetres, so treat the Mini as a companion piece, not a carrier.
Styling is where Celeste surprises people: with cream it goes tonal and soft, with white it turns crisp, and over black it becomes the one bright note that carries the whole look. It is also the rare blue that works beside olive — a pairing I discovered by accident and now repeat on purpose.
The honest note is about light blues in general: they show marks at the zip line, where fingers land every day, and Celeste is no exception. A wipe at the end of each week keeps the tone even. Skip it and the handle area will grey before the body does.
