Camel and chalk is the two-tone pairing I recommend to people who think two-tone bags are loud. Colour 37 is an honest, classic camel, and craie is the softest white in the range; together they are warm, light and completely unfussy, with gold hardware finishing a composition that was already in the same key.
The Epsom grain is what keeps it from tipping into novelty. Both tones sit perfectly even on the pressed surface, the bag holds its trapezoid line, and rain or a bumped doorway does nothing to show. This is the version of two-tone that looks like it was designed rather than assembled, and the stiffness is a working part of that effect.
What goes in: phone, flat cardholder, keys, one lipstick, inside a 5.5 cm deep, 12 cm high, 19 cm wide shell. It is a bag for lunches, for travel days, for weddings with a daytime dress code — anything warm and bright, which is what the colours are for.
My honest caveat is that camel and chalk are close enough as tones to need a moment of thought. Against a beige coat the whole outfit goes quiet to the point of vanishing; against navy, black or denim it snaps into focus. Think about what it will sit on, not just what it is. And both colours are pale, so pens travel in a case.
Worn with the right background, it is the friendliest bag in the batch.
