Vert Amanda is the green of olive leaves after a hot afternoon – muted, earthy, slightly grey at the edges – and plenty of people would call it plain at first glance. They are wrong; it is the most wearable green I own. Togo pushes it further toward fabric: the pebble grain gives the surface a tweed-like quality that softens the colour and sits easily with camel and cream.
The Kelly 28’s 28 by 22 by 10 centimetres keeps the daily set close: wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses and a pouch, with the flap closing flat over all of it. Silver hardware adds a cool, clean line against the muted green, and the strap detaches for the handle-only look when I want it.
In wear it behaves like the middle ground between formal and not. The flap and turnlock keep the silhouette sharp, while the green quietly undoes any severity in an outfit. The grain conceals scratches, the matte surface resists fingerprints, and the colour handles rain without spotting.
Honest note: this green shifts a lot with the light. In a dim room it reads grey-brown, and anyone hoping for a deep forest green may find it quieter than they imagined. Look at it in daylight before deciding – which is why I mention it at all.
For a bag that walks the line between a colour and a neutral, this is the piece I recommend to people who insist they are not green people.
