Most of us own one bag that isn’t afraid of anything, and mine is this one. Jaune citron is a true lemon — clean, saturated, legible from across a street — and it takes a certain mood to buy it. What convinced me was the pairing: cuivre panels and naturel sable canvas draw a copper-and-sand line under the yellow, so the brightness has somewhere to land instead of floating.
Construction-wise it’s Herbag fundamentals: canvas body, hunter-cowhide frame, and silver hardware kept deliberately quiet. The yellow canvas is evenly saturated with no blotchiness, which is harder to achieve than it sounds, and the retourne edges are soft enough to fold gently against your side. The stud closure works with a firm, satisfying press.
The 31 cm shell is practical well beyond its costume: laptop days, market days, beach days. The bright shell means I can always find my bag instantly in a pile of luggage, and the light colour inside makes keys and cards easier to spot at a glance, a small thing that makes a real difference.
Fair warning: citron shows use. Rain spots dry out but can leave pale haloes if ignored, and a full week of holiday wear leaves its marks. I treat mine like a favourite pair of pale chinos — enjoyed, brushed clean, not precious. Buy it if you want your accessories to have a pulse; skip it if you need camouflage.
