Choosing between this and the rose gold version of the Finesse pendant comes down to one question: do you want the diamonds to warm your skin or to cool it? In white gold the toggle motif, a bar joined to a ring, keeps to a silver-white register that suits black tailoring and grey hair equally well.
The pendant measures 0.58 by 0.4 of an inch and carries seventeen diamonds, 0.46 carats, set so the stones follow the shape rather than sitting on top of it. The chain adjusts between 15.35 and 16.14 inches, and I tend to keep mine longer with a shirt and shorter with anything bare.
I wore it to a long dinner recently and noticed what the near-white metal does under low light: it holds a thin line of brightness that gold can lose. With a navy dress it looked almost architectural.
Two things to weigh. White gold shows every fingerprint until you wipe it, and the chain is fine enough that it should be stored flat, not hooked over a stand. One diamond count, one toggle, and the rest is discipline. White gold 750/1000, made in France.
One honest caveat about the metal: white gold on a fine chain is the most invisible jewellery there is under artificial light, so if you want the pendant to register across a room, the rose gold version works harder. This one rewards close conversation. Mine also gathers a little soap residue from hand washing if I am careless, so it gets a wipe before I leave the house.
