Togo has a pebbled surface that is entirely its own thing: small, irregular bumps that catch light like the skin of an orange, and they give a dark colour more life than any flat finish could. Blue Nuit is a deep navy, almost black in shadow and clearly blue in the hand.
This Constance To Go measures 20 by 3.5 by 12 cm, so it works as a wallet that can travel on its own strap. Cards in the slots, notes behind, coins in the middle, and an enamel fitting closing the flap with warm metal against the blue. Togo is soft in the hand, which makes the piece comfortable to hold and easy to slip into a pocket.
The trade for that softness is slightly less structure than a pressed-grain leather gives. Over years of daily filling, Togo will follow the shape of what you keep inside, and the flap can take on a gentle wave rather than staying perfectly flat. Some people love that; anyone chasing crisp lines will prefer Epsom. Mine has softened exactly where I wanted it to, at the spine, and not at all at the corners. The pebbled surface also hides gloss marks, so it has stayed matte where my hand rests.
Navy with gold is the most forgiving pairing I know. It has never been the wrong choice. It has gone from a desk drawer to three weddings without complaint.
