I ordered the mini cut expecting to outgrow it in a month. Three months later it is the wallet I reach for whenever I carry a small bag, because it holds exactly what a day in town requires and nothing I would not miss. In 09 Mauve Pale, it also goes with every coat I own.
The shape is a compact flap wallet: twelve centimetres by nine, four centimetres deep, which is enough for cards at the front, notes folded once behind them and a few coins in the middle without ever looking stuffed. Gold hardware sits against the pale mauve with a warm, slightly vintage feel. Bags that swallow a full-size wallet get a lift here — the mini leaves room for keys, a phone and sunglasses in a way the bigger pieces never allow.
Epsom is a smart choice at this scale. Its pressed, embossed grain resists scratches and moisture, so a wallet that lives in a crowded bag survives keys and the occasional pen without panic, and the pale mauve keeps its even tone rather than picking up grey smudges the way a soft leather might. The rigid structure also means the flap keeps its clean curved line after months of opening and closing.
The honest trade-off is capacity by design: once the cards and notes are in, there is little room for anything else, and stiff leather will not negotiate. If you routinely carry a wallet as a filing cabinet, buy the larger cut. If you carry less than you think, this one will surprise you.
