I resisted the Lime Rodeo for a whole season, convinced a charm this loud belonged on someone else’s bag. Then a friend clipped hers to a beige canvas tote, and the colour did something no neutral could: it made the bag look chosen rather than borrowed.
The horse is Milo lambskin in a clean, almost chartreuse green with no muddiness in the dye. Small and flat enough to slip into a coat pocket, it hangs from its little hook without adding weight, and the matte grain keeps the brightest colour in the family from looking plastic. It arrived stiff, and it softened within a week of handling, which was nice to watch.
Where it works best: on neutrals. Black, cream, tan, raw denim — Lime against any of those is a small act of confidence. I keep mine on a crossbody for weekend errands and on the outside of my backpack when I travel, purely because it makes my bag the fastest one to find on a carousel. In winter, tucked against a cream coat, it is the only thing that looks like spring.
The limitation is honest and obvious: this is not an office charm unless your office wears sneakers, and bright lambskin judges your hands — lotion, orange juice, newsprint. A wipe after messy days keeps it sharp. It has never once looked like it was trying too hard. If a bag should lift your mood every morning, this does it before you finish your coffee.
