I packed this strap for a week in Sicily on a gamble, since orange is not a colour I wear at home. It turned out to be the piece I reached for most: against white linen and pale denim the orange face is bright without shouting, while the black Epsom reverse handled dinners and the flight home.
Both faces are the same 24 mm width, one in Swift calfskin and one in Epsom, flipped through the yellow-gold-plated Mini Constance buckle. The buckle is deliberately small; a large plate behind a colour this strong would tip the whole outfit from summer into costume.
Swift on the orange side is smooth and slightly luminous, which suits linen, poplin and light cotton. Epsom is heat-embossed and firm, and it keeps the black face tidy through airports, car seats and repeated wear. One blunt note: orange does draw the eye. I keep this belt for holidays, weekends and denim rather than Monday meetings, and if you want the same strap to vanish into a grey suit, a quieter colourway will serve you better.
The standard reversible-strap behaviour applies: a sliver of the opposite face shows along the edge, and the leather keeps a slight bend near the buckle from whichever side you last wore. It relaxes after a few outings and then holds the shape of your waist.
Ten sizes cover the range, from 70 to 115 cm at the waist. The belt is put together in France.
