Rose Extreme does not whisper, and neither should the person carrying it. It is a hot, saturated pink, closer to a peony in full sun than to anything dusty, and on Epsom, where the pigment sits deep in the embossed grain, it stays outrageously even from panel to panel, hour after hour.
The Kelly 25 frame gives the colour discipline: at 25 by 17 by 7 cm the bag is petite and formal, so the pink reads as a considered choice rather than an accident. Epsom’s rigidity keeps the flap crisp and the corners sharp, which a softer leather in this shade would not manage over a long summer. In daylight the pink deepens a fraction; under evening lamps it goes almost rose-red, which is why it works after dark as well.
What rides inside: phone, card holder, keys, lipstick, sunglasses if I leave the case behind. Gold hardware warms the pink a further degree and turns the whole bag slightly golden in late-afternoon light, the time of day it was made for, as far as I am concerned.
Honest note: a colour this loud limits your wardrobe. I wear it with cream, white, denim, camel and nothing else, and it looks like a plan every time. With florals or competing brights it looks like a mistake. Epsom is also the right finish for a hot pink, easier to wipe clean than smooth leather, and this shade is deep enough to hide the small marks a summer throws at it.
