Bleu de Prusse sits somewhere between deep teal and midnight, and depending on the light it either disappears into a dark outfit or shows its green-blue undertow. I like colours that do that. This little Kelly Jump has been my hands-free companion for market mornings and museum afternoons since it arrived.
At 18 cm wide, 14.5 tall and 6 deep, it is sized for the essentials: a phone, wallet, keys, a small pouch of cosmetics and a foldable tote in case I buy something. Swift leather, pliable and smooth with a low sheen, gives the blue a wet-stone quality; silver hardware keeps it crisp.
Mechanically it is simple in the best way – a flap with a strap closure over a single main compartment. Nothing rattles, nothing needs explaining. The straps adjust short enough to sit high on the back, which I prefer with a coat, and the whole thing weighs almost nothing before you load it.
The honest limitation is capacity: this is not a bag for a 13-inch laptop or a day of errands with purchases. It holds exactly what a small shoulder bag holds, in a shape that leaves your hands free. Swift is also a leather that creases where it bends – mine has soft lines across the flap edge that I have decided to enjoy rather than fight.
For travel days where a tote feels like a liability, it earns its place.
