Yucca green takes its name from the plant and behaves like it — a dusty, blue-leaning green that stands up to dry air and dry humour. It is the colour I recommend to anyone who lives in olive, denim and stone.
Capacity note: the frame is 19 x 12.5 x 9 cm. A phone, card holder, keys plus a small hand cream ride along comfortably; the bag stays slim against the shoulder rather than bulging at the gusset. I have also used it as a holiday bag with no laptop in sight: passport, cards, phone and a hotel key, with room left for a folded map.
The Clemence grain gives the dye a soft, matte depth, and the surface darkens pleasantly in the creases where the leather folds. Silver fittings are the right metal here — cool on green, leaving the shade as vegetal as it was meant to be. Yucca sits close to khaki on the spectrum, so it makes military greens look intentional rather than accidental.
I have carried it through two springs of pale jackets and one winter of grey wool, and it behaved like a neutral in both company. It is the shade I hand to people who insist they do not like green, and it changes several minds a season.
Honest caveat: in lamplight it leans khaki, and daylight is what keeps it green. If olive tones flatter you, this is an easy choice — if you need a green with a spark, one of the brighter shades in the family will serve you better.
