Every stack needs punctuation, and for me the black Uni is that mark. The enamel is deep and glossy rather than greyed, and because the band is so thin it draws a single dark line around the wrist instead of a solid block of colour. Worn alone it is restrained; worn in a group it does the tidying.
The interior measures a touch under 63 mm and the band no more than 5.6 mm wide, with rose gold plating that warms the inner edge so the black never reads flat or dull. There is no mechanism to learn here, which is exactly the point of a slip-on bangle: over the hand, onto the wrist, done, without breaking stride on a busy morning.
I like it best beside a gold watch on the same arm, where the two metals argue pleasantly, or with an all-black outfit and a bare wrist otherwise, letting the shine at the edge do the talking. With a white tee and jeans it also pulls the look together, which sounds like a small thing until you try it.
What nobody tells you about glossy black enamel: fingerprints and skin oils show on it more than on lighter shades, so a quick wipe with a soft dry cloth is part of the routine. Keep it clear of hard knocks and of anything abrasive, and the finish will hold its depth. Made in France, with rose gold plating.
