Blue Lin sits between chambray and slate: a faded, pastel blue with grey beneath it, the colour of linen that has been washed a hundred times. It is also the shade I get asked about most often, usually by people who claim they never wear pastels.
The shape needs no introduction — a bucket with a rounded base, a rolled handle and the small lock mechanism at the top that the straps pass through. This one measures roughly a handspan across, and the depth takes a phone lying flat with a cardholder tucked behind it. I have taken it on two train trips and it fits the rhythm of travel: passport in one corner, keys and earbuds in the other, nothing rolling around because the soft walls hug whatever you put in.
Clemence here is the matte, pebble-grained sort of leather that picks up a slight sheen at the handle where your hand rests, and the silver hardware stays cool and faint against the blue rather than glaring.
It only asks for a little attention — no uncapped pens nearby, no sandy beach days — and the pale blue reward stays fresh for years.
Two things to know before you commit. There is no shoulder strap and no zip — it is a hand-or-wrist carry, and the crossing straps keep things in place without sealing them. And any pale leather bucket will collect the occasional water speck; with this blue, honestly, it barely shows.
