My rule for pale belts used to be simple: none, they show every mark. This one made me reconsider. The blanc side is Epsom, heat-embossed and matte, so it resists the scuffing that ruins smooth white leather, and it draws a clean line across dark trousers that I did not know I wanted until I wore it.
The reverse is Gold Swift calfskin, a warm mid-tone tan rather than anything metallic, so the same strap covers white-and-denim afternoons and tan-with-wool mornings. The buckle is the guillochee Mini Constance, engine-turned with fine engraved waves across the metal and finished in yellow gold plate. At 24 mm the strap is unobtrusive on the waist and slides easily through dress-trouser loops.
I wear the Gold side with brown shoes, tweed and autumn fabrics, and the white side with stone chinos, a black dress or a linen shirt in summer. The white face needs care: no raw denim against it, no canvas tote rubbing at the hip, and a wipe at the end of a long day keeps it looking new. Treat it as the dressier of the two and it will hold up well.
Being reversible, it shows a thin line of the opposite colour along the edge and keeps a soft bend near the buckle from its last wearing, a small characteristic of the construction rather than a defect.
