The first thing I tell people about the Lindy is that it is the slouch bag, not the structured bag. Mine in Graphite – a dense charcoal grey – has been on my shoulder for commutes, grocery runs and one very long airport day, and its character is entirely in the way it folds.
Clemence, the leather here, is a thick Taurillon grain that feels almost spongy in the hand and softens with use. It also means the bag will eventually puddle slightly at the base when you set it down; I find that the charm rather than the flaw, but if you need a rigid silhouette, look elsewhere. Silver hardware keeps the grey cool.
Dimension check: thirty by nineteen by sixteen centimetres. Inside that shape I have fitted a tablet in a sleeve, a long wallet, a water bottle laid on its side, sunglasses, keys and a paperback – the depth is what makes the Lindy 30 so usable. The two exterior pockets hold a phone and a transit card for grab-and-go access.
Two notes from real use: Clemence is not light even before you fill it, though the wide strap spreads the load well, and the grained surface shows scuffs less than smooth leather but keeps a nap that brushes over easily.
Carried by the rolled handles it looks polished; on the strap, it becomes a working bag. I use both daily.
