Vert Fizz is lime peel rather than limeade: a sharp, clean green with enough acid to wake up a navy coat in February and enough polish to sit on a table beside champagne in July. In a lineup of quiet neutrals it is the one that gets picked up first, and in a hotel corridor it is the one people remember.
Epsom is the right base for it. A flat, pressed grain lets the color stay laser-clean instead of wealthy and deep; there is no place for light to get lost, so the green reads as bright at the stitch line as it does at the flap edge. Gold hardware adds a warm thread against the cool peel tone, an old trick that keeps acid shades from feeling synthetic.
Because the bag is small, the color stays a garnish rather than a course. Mine travels as a holiday bag: phone, cards, keys and a lip balm, tucked into a beach bag by day and carried alone after sunset. It has no trouble surviving a seaside dinner; Epsom wipes down with a dry cloth and does not stain from a splash of anything.
One calendar caveat: an acid green is a bag with a season. In high summer and on holiday it is the best thing in the suitcase; against heavy winter wool it can tip from fresh into clinical. If you need one bag for all twelve months, choose differently; if you want a July bag, this is a very good one.
