Vert Criquet is the colour of a lime leaf against a white wall — pale, yellow-green and unexpectedly elegant. On Evercolor calfskin it has a faint matte softness that keeps the green from looking synthetic, and the gold hardware warms it further, so the bag reads like spring rather than like a sports jacket. The 22-centimetre width means it slips under the arm, and the seven-centimetre depth keeps a real, structured body.
Inside: phone, card wallet, keys and earbuds, with just enough room to close the flap without force. I carry this one on days that are mostly walking — market runs, lunches outside, any afternoon when a black bag would look like a mood. The strap can sit across my chest or on one shoulder, and the lock is firm enough to open one-handed once broken in.
Honest note: pale greens live on the edge of seasonal. It is perfect in linen and light denim, slightly odd with heavy winter wool. It also asks for basic care: pale leather on a busy day picks up dye from dark denim, and Evercolor, while tough, is not immune. A wipe after contact solves it.
Bought as a second bag for lighter months, it tends to become the one you reach for first. The Danse wears pale green without a trace of novelty — in short bursts of sun, an outfit gathers around it on its own terms.
