Gris Misty is the colour equivalent of breath on glass – a whisper-soft grey with a hint of mauve that changes character between daylight and lamplight. In Togo the tone stays textural rather than flat, and the bag slips into a carry-on without negotiating for space. It has become my default for trips where the itinerary keeps changing.
At 28 by 22 by 10 centimetres it holds the travel essentials precisely: passport in the flat inner pocket, compact wallet, phone, sunglasses case, keys and a pouch with cables. The strap sits crossbody through an airport, and the flap opens flat enough to pack from a hotel bed without emptying everything onto the desk. Housekeeping has watched me do it twice.
Silver hardware suits the cooler cast of the grey. My one styling note is that Misty leans cool, so it looks most at home with grey, navy and denim, and can look a little flat against beige. That is a preference, not a fault, and worth knowing before you commit.
On durability: the pebbled grain shrugs off tray tables and taxi doors, but Togo’s softness means the bag will relax and lean after a few months of travel. I store mine stuffed with a folded jumper to keep the shape deliberate rather than accidental.
For a colour that photographs softly and carries quietly, Misty is the one I pack when the itinerary is uncertain.
