Yellow is the colour people talk themselves out of, and I nearly did. Then I put Sun against a grey coat and understood: the mini 2424 is small enough that a bright colour never shouts. It just gives the outfit one loud, happy word.
The bag is twenty-one centimetres across and sixteen high, Evercolor’s pressed grain on the panels with softer Swift where the flap folds, and the silver hardware keeps the yellow clean rather than golden. That matters more than you would think with this colour. It is a yellow with no green in it, so it stays friendly next to olive rather than fighting it, and the grain reads softly under indoor light instead of shining.
I carry a phone, keys, a card case and sunglasses without their case, and the flap still closes without argument. Sun is a true yellow, not a mustard and not a lemon, so it plays well with denim and stone tones alike. On light days the gussets leave a little air around my things, and I have learned to leave that air alone rather than fill it out of habit.
My caveat is seasonal. In high summer the bag looks inevitable, and in December it looks like a small act of defiance. I have made peace with both, and honestly the winter version cheers me up more. The strap is long enough for crossbody over a coat, which is how it survives the cold months.
If your wardrobe is otherwise quiet, this is the piece that can do all the talking for it.
