Vert Criquet is the surprise of the group: a fresh, yellow-leaning green that reads bright and clean in Evercolor’s fine grain. It is the colour I recommend when a closet has gone entirely greige and someone is finally ready to do something about it. It is also the colour that gets borrowed most, in my experience.
The bag’s 23 x 17 cm face holds a phone, cards, keys and a compact, and the front strap keeps the flap closed while the adjustable length moves it from shoulder to crossbody. In sunlight the green turns almost citrus; indoors it settles into something more mossy, which is a pleasant double life. The dye has held evenly through a season of daily use, with no fading toward the folds.
Gold hardware gives the green a warm frame, and the fine grain keeps the surface from looking plasticised the way bright colours sometimes can. The bag has weight to it that betrays real construction, though it stays comfortable over a full day. The gold rings catch light and throw it back at the green, which is a nice trick.
Honesty time: this is a divisive colour, and I will not pretend otherwise. Worn with cream, denim or black it sings; worn beside other strong colours it argues. If you have been waiting for a reason to own something unexpected, here it is on a strap. Wear it when the plan includes a long lunch and a longer walk.
