Vert Vertigo is where the greens in this range stop being polite. It is bright, leafy, slightly electric, the green you find on racing jackets and enamel signs, and on pebbled Negonda it lands as fun rather than loud. The 30 carries exactly the right amount of it: any bigger and the color would start running the room.
Negonda’s matte, pebbled surface gives the vivid tone texture to sit in, so it never looks flat or synthetic, and there is nothing metallic anywhere except the silver snap. I wear it with white, navy and denim, and it holds its own against black, which most brights cannot manage. It is also the bag that gets borrowed by everyone else in my house.
Inside on a typical day: keys, a card holder, a phone, sunglasses, a paperback and a tube of hand cream. The open top makes all of it reachable one-handed, the interior pocket keeps the small pieces sorted, and the bag stands upright on its base when I set it down, which is rarer in soft leather than it has any right to be.
Honest notes: this green is a commitment. It will not blend into a beige wardrobe, and bright Negonda shows light scuffs and dry spots sooner than dark colors do. A little conditioning now and then, plus a chosen outfit instead of a grabbed one, keeps it at its best. In exchange it delivers a jolt of good mood every time it catches my eye, which is the entire argument for owning it.
