The Evelyne is the bag I recommend to anyone who walks more than they ride. Worn across the body with a wide canvas strap, the 33 sits at the hip like a tool rather than a treasure, and in Ebene, the deepest brown in the line, it is nearly austere. I mean that generously.
It holds more than its neat profile suggests: the body measures 33 by 30 by 9 cm, so a small tablet, a phone, a full wallet, keys, sunglasses and a paperback all ride flat against the body without the bag swinging. The perforated H punched through the back panel is the style’s signature, and it is also the reason the bag stays cool against your side on a warm day.
Taurillon Clemence is soft, thick bull leather with a pronounced pebble grain, and it gives the bag its character: a gentle, deliberate slouch rather than structure. The silver hardware on the strap ends and buckle is restrained, barely there, which suits a bag worn this casually.
The honest notes. Clemence has no reinforcement, so an under-filled Evelyne slumps like a hammock; carry something structured inside if that bothers you, and expect corners to patina with heavy daily use. The strap is woven webbing, tough and adjustable, but it is not leather, and it will look slightly workwearish next to a silk outfit.
Worn across dark denim and boots, the Ebene Evelyne 33 is nearly invisible in the best way. I call it my uniform bag.
