The smallest Evelyne taught me what I actually need. Twenty-three centimetres across and barely deeper than a phone, it holds a cardholder, keys, a lipstick and maybe a folded note, and that is the entire brief. On days I carry it, nothing irrelevant comes home with me.
In Etoupe, the mini reads more like an accessory than a bag, which suits its scale. The Taurillon Clemence is the same soft bull-calf as the larger sizes, pebbled and pliable, so the little body still has that gentle slouch rather than the rigidity of a box bag. The perforated H takes up proportionally more of the front, making the pattern the clear signature of the piece.
The woven strap is long enough to cross the body and short enough to sit at the hip, and gold-tone hardware gives the taupe a warm glint. It is the bag I take to a dinner, a concert or a gallery when a larger bag would be in the way, and it has never once needed a second thought. The strap sets short for the shoulder or long across the body, and at this size the bag never swings into traffic or doorways.
Honest limitations: there is no room for a water bottle, an umbrella or a paperback, and the open top means small items can slip out if the bag turns over. Kept to its purpose, it is the most used small bag I own.
