Orange is the most opinionated color in this collection, and I have watched it split a dinner table. On the Clemence grain, color 93 is a pure, saturated orange, not peach and not rust, and with silver hardware it stays cool at the edges, which keeps the whole thing from tipping into autumn and makes it feel, oddly enough, modern.
It measures sixteen by eighteen centimeters and five deep, and it will not carry more than a phone, keys, a wallet and a sunglasses cloth; worth knowing if you are used to a tote. On holiday it has carried ferry tickets and a room key without complaint, and the soft body holds its short contents steady through a day of walking.
Orange is a commitment. If you hesitate in the mirror, walk away, because this color never becomes background and it never apologizes; on grey city streets it is the only warm thing in the frame, and on holiday it photographs like a postcard. It is loud in the best way: unmistakable at distance, warm at close range. Mine has been to Lisbon twice, and I still smile at those pictures.
One practical note: orange loves navy, cream and olive, and fights with pink and most greens. I built a small rule set around it and have never regretted the discipline. If you want a bag that starts conversations, this is the one I own that reliably does. I would not change a thing about it, and I have tried.
