There is a brown that reads as a wardrobe basic and a brown that reads as dessert; Marron Glace on yellow gold is the second one, and I mean that as a compliment. The wide Clic Clac gives the colour room to breathe, a band of about 0.79 inches wrapping the arm, so the shine has somewhere to travel instead of flickering on a thin edge.
Mechanically it is the same design that has kept this style on wrists for decades: a hinged band, and an H that rotates a quarter turn to open and close. My tip for first-timers is to work it a few times before wearing it out, the seating has a particular feel, and once you know it you can fasten the bracelet one-handed while holding a coffee. The listed wrist size is 6.7 inches.
I wear this most in autumn, with camel coats and cream cashmere, but it also works remarkably well in a plain white-shirt-and-denim week because warm browns flatter denim’s blue rather than clashing with it. Under yellow gold the colour looks deeper than it does in daylight, which is worth seeing before you decide.
Two things to know. A wide bangle on a smaller wrist can start to feel like a cuff, so be sure of your measurement. And yellow gold plating, unlike rose, will slowly warm and dull with wear, which many of us prefer but is not for everyone. Store it dry and away from scent.
