Mid-green is the color I wear most, so a Cargo in 65 Vert Moyen felt inevitable rather than brave. It is the shade of tomato leaves, and it makes the utility styling read like farm-shop canvas rather than gear.
The 25 frame, swift body, canvas paneling, silver hardware. Contents on a market day: wallet, keys, phone, a folded bread bag and whatever small plant I could not resist. The flap closes with the turn-lock, and the pockets take the change and the lists. The canvas flexes when the bag is full and the swift body follows rather than fights, which is why I take it to places I would not take a structured bag.
In use, the green softens the pocket-heavy silhouette and hides a summer of handling; swift grain is smooth enough that the color stays even, and the canvas panels keep their structure through rain and back seats. I carried it through a June market in drizzle and the canvas dried straight, with no stain left on the green.
Honest notes: in evening light this green slides toward pond-dark, so it is a daytime bag almost by temperament. And a colored utility bag makes two statements at once, so I keep the rest of my outfit quiet when I carry it; next to checks or stripes it starts to argue.
Weekend garden centres, farm markets, school runs that need three pockets: this is the bag that gets chosen. It has held plant pots, picnic bread and one very muddy pair of boots without a complaint.
