Blue Lin is the color of linen shirts left too long on the line: pale, airy, a blue with almost no weight. On a 40 it becomes the lightest-looking big bag I own, and I did not expect a 40 to feel this easy.
The big 40 body measures 40 by 30 by 21 cm and swallows the laptop, the folio, the chargers and a change of shirt; I use it as a carry-on when the trip is short and the weather is warm. In June it also took a folded jacket for a cold arrivals hall.
In use, gold hardware warms the pale blue and keeps the bag from looking clinical; the pebbled grain protects the light color better than smooth calf, though not perfectly. The wide base lets me find things without unpacking, which matters at a gate. I flew with it twice this spring, and packing and repacking on hotel beds was genuinely faster.
Honest notes: pale blue is the least forgiving color for travel. Scuffs on the lower corners, a splash at the taxi door, and every wipe shows where it has been. I check it after each trip and clean it monthly. Togo still slouches, and a 40 full of paper is heavier than it looks.
Worn with white, tan and grey it looks like spring brought a suitcase. For people who travel light in spirit, if not in kilograms. It photographs like a holiday and behaves like a workhorse.
