White bags are usually a summer indulgence; this one is not. A Craie 35 with a Porosus crocodile flap is an all-season piece, because the chalk-white Togo body keeps it light while the crocodile panel adds a formality that stops the cream from feeling purely seasonal. Gold hardware softens the contrast between the two skins.
Under the thumb, the difference is instructive. The Togo is pebbled, dense and slightly flexible, so the sides move a little as you carry; the Porosus flap is firm and entirely flat, its large square scales arranged in even rows, noticeably cooler to the touch. This is the leather that gives the bag its architecture, and it is also the part you will want to keep away from rain, since crocodile spotting is real and difficult to reverse.
The 35 frame takes a full day: a wallet, phone, keys, glasses, a compact, a lipstick, a notebook and a flat document folder, all inside the main compartment, with the zip pocket holding the pieces you need constantly. On the arm it feels substantial but not awkward, and the light colour makes the bag easy to find in a busy room.
Two honest notes: pale leather anywhere on a bag is high-maintenance, and pairing it with pale crocodile doubles the stakes, so a wipe-down after each outing is not optional. In return you get a bag that looks exceptional in photographs and even better in daylight.
