Rose Sakura is a blush with grey in it, which is the reason it works on adults. It is not a candy pink; it is closer to the inside of a shell, and Swift’s smooth surface gives it a soft sheen instead of a flat chalky finish.
Framed at twenty-five by twenty by thirteen centimetres, with silver-tone hardware. Swift is a fine-grained calf from France that takes colour deeply and feels supple in hand, so the flap folds flat and the body has a gentle give. Swift is also the leather that takes the palest dyes best, so the pink stays even across the whole panel rather than going patchy.
Practically, this is a bag I take to lunches. A phone, a small card case, keys, a compact and a lipstick fit with space to spare, and I can slide a folded scarf on top when the weather turns.
Two things to accept. Swift marks more easily than pebbled leathers; a fingernail or a watch clasp can leave a faint trace, especially on pale dyes. And this shade shows denim transfer, so I do not wear mine against new indigo. Mine has softened noticeably at the handles after a season, which makes it more comfortable and slightly less structured than it was new.
Kept in its dust bag and away from long sun, the pink has stayed even across the panels. The silver hardware has a clean, cool look that suits the shell-pink tone.
