Sakura pink under silver hardware is the lightest combination in my drawer, and every spring it comes back into rotation without being asked. The 3Q shade on this mini Bearn is a soft blossom pink that stops short of sugar — the silver plate cools it down and keeps the whole wallet looking composed rather than sweet.
The proportions are the familiar compact cut: eight centimetres tall, ten point three across, a flap that folds down and a strap that meets its plate with a light press. Four cards and folded notes fit neatly, and there is just enough room behind for the small stack of receipts that accumulates over a week. It disappears into a small bag and leaves space for everything else, which is the point of owning a wallet this size.
Epsom is the right leather for this shade at this scale. Its pressed, embossed grain is dense and even, so the pale pink reads as one clean surface rather than a patchwork, and it resists moisture and light scuffing well enough that I have carried it through drizzle without a blemish. The wallet still holds its shape after months, with only a soft gloss forming along the flap where I open it.
A fair warning: pale finishes ask for a certain discipline — a loose pen or a fresh denim pocket will make themselves known. Mine has stayed clean because it lives in a bag rather than a pocket. For a wallet this pretty, that seems a fair arrangement.
