Vertigo is a bold name for a green, and in the hand it earns the word: U4 on this little flap wallet is a deep, saturated forest green that shifts almost to black in shadow and comes back to life the moment light hits it. I have carried it for a season, and I still notice it every time I open my bag.
Small is the entire proposition here. What you get is a flap wallet of eight by ten centimetres, give or take a millimetre, with room for cards up front, notes folded once across the middle and a slim extra in the section behind. The strap closes under its gold plate with a deliberate little press, and the whole package fits a pocket designed for a phone — the format I reach for whenever the day involves a small bag or no bag at all.
The pressed Epsom grain gives this green its evenness; the surface has a fine, regular texture that keeps the shade from looking flat and resists the scuffs that quickly mark softer leathers in dark colours. A season in, the flap line remains crisp, the corners are clean and the colour has not dulled anywhere. Gold hardware against forest green is a combination I would now choose again from a hundred options.
A small caveat: this green hides most things, though pale scratches from keys or clasps do show, and at this size it lives near both. There is a single fine line on the back panel that only I can find. From any normal distance, the wallet looks untouched.
