I resisted pink bags for years, and this is the one that ended the argument. Rose Sakura is a powdery, muted cherry blossom pink — the kind that photographs badly on phones and beautifully in real life — and it plays surprisingly well with grey, navy and denim.
Swift is the reason this bag feels different from its Epsom siblings. The calfskin is drummed to a smooth, near-flat grain with a soft hand, so the Constance reads gentler, more rounded at the edges. The dimensions are the familiar twenty-four by fifteen by five centimetres, and the body takes a phone, a folded scarf, keys, a cardholder and a lipstick with the flap closing cleanly. A card case sits flat in front of the phone, which keeps the silhouette even.
Because Swift is smoother, colour sits on it like watercolour — even and luminous — and that is why the pink looks grown-up rather than sweet. The silver clasp adds a clean, slightly cool accent that keeps the whole bag from drifting into doll’s-house territory.
The honest trade-off: Swift is softer than Epsom, so it shows pressure marks more readily and will soften and settle slightly with use rather than staying board-stiff forever. I press light fingermarks out with a thumb and keep it in its dust bag. In exchange you get the softest leather the house makes, in a pink that adults can carry without apology.
