Brunch is the test this bag was built for: sunlight, a pale linen jacket, a table with too many glasses on it. Nana is a blushing cream — paler than blush, warmer than off-white — and rose gold hardware pours a little honey over the whole thing, so the bag reads soft from across a terrace and quietly expensive up close.
At roughly nine and a half by six inches, the classic 24 needs no special handling at a table for four: it fits beside a plate, holds a phone, a slim wallet, keys, lipstick and sunglasses without a fight, and the five-centimetre depth means it never occupies more space than a hardback would.
Epsom keeps pale colours honest. The pressed grain does not bruise, does not puddle colour at the corners, and handles the odd splash of rosé or olive oil better than any smooth leather with a fraction of the fuss. A trace of diluted soap on a soft cloth deals with almost everything else the table throws.
Two honest flags. Of everything in this batch, this pairing — the palest leather with the softest metal — is the most delicate; rose gold is a closer cousin to scratches than you would like. And pale cream deserves a routine: away from inky pens and dark denim, dust bag at night. Mine has kept its first-week shade for two summers and counting.
