Brick red, sesame beige and a click of mint — this colorway carries a warm, seventies feel, and it is the most autumnal Pegase in the batch. On a camel bag it blends into the family; on grey it becomes the only warm thing you are carrying that day.
Milo lambskin and Swift calfskin share the horse between them, and the red shows the lambskin’s plushness best: grain barely visible, surface matte but alive under changing light. There is no metal component anywhere, which matters more than it sounds — no clinking, no scuffed hardware on the bag it hangs from.
Size check: it stretches nine-point-seven centimetres nose to tail and under eight tall, roughly a flattened palm. It slips into a coat pocket when you want it off the bag, and the leather loop goes over a handle or a strap in one motion — no clasp to fumble with.
Seasonality is its strength: brick red and sesame were made for tweed, flannel and boots, and this is the charm I move onto a wool coat’s shoulder bag in November and leave there until spring. It also rescues an all-black winter outfit faster than any scarf I own.
An honest word about the deep red: on very pale bag leathers, a lambskin charm this saturated can transfer a little color in heat and humidity. I keep mine on darker or mid-tone bags, where it is free to be handled, admired and knocked about without anyone worrying.
