An amulet is a small object you keep for reasons you do not fully explain, and the Constance pendant earns that name. It is a rose gold plaque with the H cut through the centre, hung on a fine chain, and there is nothing on it that is not doing work.
What I notice after months of wearing one is how legible the shape is from a distance. The H sits inside a rounded rectangle, roughly the size of a fingernail, and it reads clearly even in a photograph or across a table, which is unusual for something this small. In 750/1000 rose gold it keeps a warm cast indoors and turns almost copper in late sun.
I wear mine alone on bare skin in summer, and layered with a longer chain in winter when collars cover everything else. Because the plaque is flat it never digs in when I lean forward over a desk.
Honest notes: with no extension chain the length is fixed, so the drop has to suit you as it comes, and rose gold shows fine scratches sooner than white gold does. Neither is a fault, but both are worth knowing before you commit. Made in France.
A word on gifting: because the motif carries no lettering and no colour, this is the amulet people wear for years without ever asking whether it suits them. Plain rose gold is forgiving that way, and it photographs beautifully against dark clothes. It is also the piece I would layer first, before deciding to add anything else.
