Mint is the colour that surprised me most in this collection: soft on a wrist, but unmistakably a colour, and far easier to wear than I expected from a shade that lives somewhere between toothpaste and pistachio.
The Mini Clic Kelly band is 0.31 inches of pale green enamel over rose-gold plating, sized to a 6.7-inch wrist, closed by the Kelly lock motif. The green is light and cool, and against skin it reads fresh rather than sweet, particularly in summer when so much jewellery aims for gold and bronze.
I wear mine with striped shirts, white linen and pastel knitwear, and, unexpectedly, against all black, where it looks like the one living thing in the outfit. It earns its keep on holidays and warm-city weekends, and it stacks nicely with a silver chain bracelet if you do not need your metals to match.
What to consider: pale enamel shows marks, and the colour has a seasonality to it, looking less natural with heavy winter wool than the neutrals do. Plated and enamelled pieces also want the usual discipline around perfume, hot water and chlorine. Mine has kept its gloss through one full summer, including a few beach days it would probably have preferred to skip.
Made in France, and a small dose of colour for people who claim to hate colour: the sort of piece that turns a white shirt and jeans into something considered.
