At nine millimetres tall and seven wide, these are the smallest earrings I own, and they have quietly become the pair I wear most. The Pop H shape is reduced to a black lacquered outline in rose gold plate, and from a metre away it reads as a black point at the ear; up close the letter gives it away.
Weight is the other reason they never leave my rotation: about two grams each, which is light enough that I genuinely forget I have them on, even under headphones on a long flight. The lacquer is level and smooth, and the rose gold edge keeps the black from looking hard.
I wear mine as a second piercing pair, sitting under a larger hoop, and I also wear them alone on days when jewellery feels like one decision too many. With dark hair they disappear into the shadow of the ear, which is a look I like, and on pale skin the black outline is sharper still.
Where they need care is the same place as any lacquered piece: perfume and hairspray dull the plating, so I spray before I put them on, and I keep them away from water and rough surfaces, because a lacquered edge can chip if it is knocked against something hard. Mine have lasted a year without a mark, mostly because I take them off first when I get home.
If you want a pair that behaves like a small signature rather than an announcement, this is it, and they have become the ones I reach for without thinking.
