The white Jet sneaker came with me on a spring city trip and barely left my feet after that. Nappa leather panels sit alongside suede goatskin on the upper, and the contrast does the talking: smooth against brushed, white against the black trim, with the H detail set low on the side where it reads as a detail rather than a logo.
The sole measures 2.2 cm, honey rubber underneath, a white rubber midsole above it, and a dark natural leather welt capping the edge. It is a light stack, so the shoe keeps a low profile with tapered trousers, chinos or a pair of jeans that have been washed a few too many times. Made in Italy, and the size run covers 40 to 46.
White lambskin covers the insole and the lining, and that softness is what I notice first when I am standing through a long museum afternoon. The flat laces give plenty of room over the instep, and a second white pair ships in the box, so you can wash one set and still wear the shoe.
Now the honest part. White nappa marks early, a scuff on the toe box shows before anything else, and the suede panels want a brush every few weeks. I keep these for dry days, protect the suede before the season starts, and accept they will never stay box-fresh. That is the deal with a white sneaker in heavy rotation.
