Black card holders have one job: disappear. This one does it so thoroughly that I once spent a morning convinced I had left it at a hotel, when it was nested inside the pages of the notebook I was carrying. That is not a design flaw, but it is worth knowing before you choose black.
At 10.5 by 7.5 cm the MC² Euclide is built on two Epsom panels with slots on the inside faces and a slim well between them. No hardware, no logo plate, no contrast thread, so nothing about it catches the light or the eye.
Mine carries five cards and a folded note, and it goes in a back pocket or a jacket, depending on the trousers. Epsom’s heat-stamped grain takes the abrasion of a pocket without developing the shiny patches that soft, smooth leathers get from constant friction.
Two honest notes. Black Epsom collects fine dust along the edges, which a cloth removes in seconds, and the uniform colour means you lose the visual cue of which face is which, so a thumb learns the layout by touch. Everything else about this holder is exactly what you would hope: silent, slim and unbothered.
Where it has been happiest: a jacket breast pocket, a car door pocket and the outside pocket of a briefcase, all places where a fuller wallet would leave a mark. For anyone downsizing a pocket, this is the least disruptive way to do it, and the least visible.
