Six months of daily use has left this Nata Calvi Duo looking better than it did on day one, which is the sentence I did not expect to write. The cream colour has warmed very slightly where my thumb pushes the fold open, and nowhere else. I bought it to test the leather rather than the colour, and the leather is what kept me carrying it.
Nata lives between white and beige – warm enough that it flatters camel and grey, pale enough that it disappears against a white shirt. Both leathers, the fine Swift face and the springy chèvre backing, have kept their grain definition rather than flattening into smooth patches. Even the crease at the fold has stayed free of grey, which is rare on a pale wallet that gets opened dozens of times a day.
Inside, it is the standard arrangement: cards on both faces, a folded note tucked behind whichever stack is thinner that week, a spare door key in the crease. The whole thing weighs almost nothing, and a blazer pocket keeps its line when I carry it.
My only caution concerns dark trousers. Because I pocket this one at hip height, the lower edge has met black denim more often than it should, and there is faint grey shading along the bottom of the leather. A soft eraser has reduced the shading twice, and each time it has returned a little fainter.
For anyone deciding between this and pure white: Nata is the one that will still look intentional in autumn.
