The same 37 Gold tan, this time against warm hardware, and it is remarkable how much a metal tone shifts a leather. Where silver makes this camel read beachy and crisp, gold brings out the honey in it, so the bag looks lit from inside on grey mornings. If you have been deciding between the two, this is the version that leans autumn.
Togo itself I trust completely in this colour. It is pebbled, so the surface has enough texture to swallow the daily grazes that life delivers, and tan is the tone that ages most gracefully, because a little warmth from hands and sunlight deepens it evenly rather than ruining it. Keep it out of intense sun if you want the change to be slow rather than fast. A soft brush once a month keeps the grain lifted and the dust out of the pores, which matters more on pale-tan bags than on darker ones.
What I put in a 30 of this colour is a summer-to-winter list: cards and cash in a small wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, lip balm, and a light scarf once the season turns. The dimensions, thirty by twenty-two by sixteen centimetres, mean it sits close to you rather than swinging.
An honest note on hardware: warm hardware over warm leather is a low-contrast choice, so if you like your bag to look graphic, this is not it. What you get instead is softness, which suits camel better anyway, in my view.
