If you have only met this bag in a rigid leather, the Togo version will feel like a different animal. Same black, same silver hardware, same thirty centimetres across, twenty-two tall and sixteen deep, but the pebbled surface changes everything about how it hangs: softly, with a slight curve, the way a well-worn jacket sits on your shoulders.
Practically, that drape is why I keep a Togo 30 in my regular rotation. The leather shrugs off fingernail grazes and the light knocks that a day in town delivers, silver hardware stays bright with an occasional polish, and the black is deep enough to wear with everything from tailoring to a weekend coat. The grain also means no two panels catch light in quite the same way, which keeps a plain colour interesting.
Capacity is generous for the footprint: a zipped wallet, phone, keys, a small makeup pouch, sunglasses and a paperback all go in, and the twin slip pockets along the back wall keep cards and tickets from wandering. It is a comfortable fit for a workday that turns into dinner, which is how most of my days actually run.
The one honest note: Togo plus hardware is not light, and because this bag is carried by hand rather than on a shoulder, a full 30 will make itself known by late afternoon. Keep the contents honest and it stays pleasant from morning to night for years.
